Millenium was a huge hit again some time ago. A detection drama in three parts with the emotionally badly damaged hacker Lisbett Sallander in one of the main roles.
In the books, Lisbett rode a self-tuned Kawasaki 125 cc. In the original Swedish version that became a modern light off road.
Yesterday we viewed The girl with the dragon tattoo, the USA version of the story. The typecasting of the protagonists was better than in the Swedish film, the complex story was effectively stripped American.
And Lisbett's engine? It was also better than in the original. A true classic. The matte black caferacer based on a Honda CL 350 in the film is one from a set of 5 that was built by Glory Motor Works.
After the film, the company received so many assignments for replicas that the global stock for building CLs must now be drastically decimated.
