For the Ward family in England, this is a modern car. He prefers collecting son's stuff from 1906, but when he went to do the Beijing Paris in 1910, he chose something reliable, hence this Lancia. A modern car for its time, just like all Lancia's.

Electric lighting, electric starter and a compact and powerful 4,9 liter turret. The car did a great job on some persistent problems with the thru axle before. They have lost the front wheel five times. The last time this happened they drove 60km / h. By rolling away the front wheel under its own power, the car buried itself in the dust, resulting in further damage to the rest of the axle. The warm exhaust set the dry grass on fire, which almost led to a premature end to this 15.000 km ride.

Fortunately the Wards were able to extinguish the fire with the fire extinguisher and after an hour of searching, locate the wheel in the thorn bushes.

After running into the same problem five times, take a closer look at the matter. As it turned out, the wheel bearings were once replaced and incorrectly mounted, too far out, resulting in a greater moment on the axle.

After some dollar bills persuaded the local Muslims to risk eternal damnation - it was Friday, and then no work was done - they managed to repair the car in the local bus depot.

From the Mongolian-Russian border to Paris, the Lancia did well.

This Lancia was one of the seven participants in Beijing-Paris who participated in Via Flaminia Pre War in May.
