When you take a look at our old-timer events agenda you know that the classic season is in full swing. Or rather: the off-season. In Leeuwarden even two events take place at a sky-wide 200 meter distance. Talsma Eventi is organizing a valuation day for classics and youngtimers in the Frisian capital. A little further on, Garage De Basis - on Mercuriusweg - has an Open Day. For owners and enthusiasts, this is an excellent opportunity to have a nice classic day out in Leeuwarden on 25 May.
Italian enthusiast Johan Dijkstra of Talsma Eventi is no stranger to the classic country. He recently made the switch from Rinsma Berlikum - until recently the oldest Alfa Romeo dealer from the Netherlands to Jelle Talsma, Fiat dealer for many years, Alfa Romeo and until recently also Lancia. For some time now, Jeep - owned by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles - has also been included in the colorful range of brands. And not only that: Johan Dijkstra also added a good dose of classic passion to Jelle Talsma Autobedrijven when he switched. This results in the range of tours, Track Days and ... valuation days.
Cooperation with Laagland Taxaties
In collaboration with Egbert Laagland of Laagland Taxaties, Talsma is organizing a valuation day this Saturday. The kick-off takes place at 11.00, and the event ends at 16.00. Youngtimers and classics owners can have their vehicle valued for € 125 including VAT. “A valuation is required every three years. If you do not do this, it will expire and the insurance will use the current market value, "according to the organization. Place of action is the Saturnusweg 6 in Leeuwarden. Special company, special open day: Garage De Basis
A little further on, another concept from Leeuwarden will open its doors for the real enthusiast on Saturday. Garage De Basis has been active for many years, has a regular customer base and often knows how to surprise with impressive cars during events (such as CLASSICSNL). For a wonderful one Alfa Romeo Giulia one does not turn the hand around. And in 2017 Garage De Basis showed a beautiful barn find: a BMW 3200 CS, really a very rare car. The garage will have an open day this Saturday. Visitors can take a look in the kitchen of the garage and drink a cup of coffee in the meantime.

Garage De Basis, member of Dutch Car Restorers, is available from 10.30 hours to 16.00 hours for the visitor, who wants to gather information about various options for his or her old-timer.
