A Royal Enfield racer. And an oldie still. But what a racer. And how old is he?

AMK issue 8 contains the story about a Royal Enfield racing engine. A motorcycle from the twenties of the last century. An engine for which no technical data is known, but for which the experts estimate that it is an 250, 350 or 500 cc machine.

With a lot of searching, we came across a year between 1924 and 1928

This kind of racers from the Stone Age of motorcycling are tough endearing. Now and then they pop up from old collections now and then.

As a new owner, you can grow the story of that type of machine in your own time travel. Don't just think of terms like 'let's google that for a moment'. Having such a machine requires technical knowledge, proficiency in metalworking, patience and having an often international network.

The result of all that effort is that a piece of engine history is preserved. And then it is also a piece of history that you can ride on. A real time machine.

AMK number 8 is now on the shelves
