In mid-June, the air force, fire brigade, police, various emergency services, and several thousand residents of a sleepy suburb of Detroit, USA, panicked when an ex-US Air Force fighter jet flew over the ground like a rocket.

It turned out to be 78-year-old Bob Lutz, the retired boss of the ailing General Motors. He was on the road with his toy and turned out to have landed safely. Bob's joke.
