No less than 40 years, these 'beauties' were waiting for better times. The owner had bought them at the time from a neighbor who owned an orchard and beheaded the Opel Olympia to drive among the trees like a tractor and harvest. That was only efficient ... picking apples and putting them in crates right away.
The blue Opel is almost complete. Of course, the bottom and sills are affected by the rust devil. A man with golden hands and a good dose of enthusiasm could turn this Opel Olympia into a moving one, certainly because there is still a good engine in the decapitated one.
In addition to their business interests as entrepreneurs, it is a fantastic hobby for Sander and Femme, looking for hidden treasures, protecting our driving heritage and saving oblivion.
This Opel Olympia find is again the result of difficult searches for classics and vintage cars that deserve a second life. And that gives the friends that special feeling.
