From 1900, Peugeot produced light motorcycles with Zedel engine blocks, but also with "AZ" blocks developed in-house by Emile Amstoutz, which were faster and sportier.

The sister brand "Griffon" was founded to prevent problems with Armand Peugeot. From 1904, heavier models from 300 to 1.000 cc appeared.

After the death of Eugène Peugeot, the Peugeot companies were reunited under the leadership of his sons Pierre, Robert and Jules. Motorcycles were sold under the names "Peugeot" and "Griffon".

The production of motorcycles and scooters was stopped in 1959, and that entire history is beautifully displayed in the sets of the Peugeot Museum in Sochaux, France. En Sochaux is close to Mulhouse. Not so far away so ...
