Michel Gaastra is a VW man focused on chassis numbers. So when he came across a very early Golf, he fell in love with the chassis number.
With the 1.883de Golf built in production, he has so far the oldest Golf series in the universe we know.
There is even a fellow 'early Golf enthusiast' in Germany who has a birthday cake at the Gaastra house on the day of Michels Golf's production and there are plenty of people who would love to buy this survivor from Michel ...
That of course does not sell his treasure.
