On Sunday, March 22, 2026, the Louwman Museum will open its doors for a special event. Automotive journalist and author Bart Lenaerts will take visitors on a journey through the development of the Aston Martin Valkyrie. This hypercar, a masterpiece of engineering and design, is the result of a collaboration between Aston Martin and Red Bull Advanced Technologies. It's a car that pushes the boundaries of what's possible on the road, and Lenaerts offers a unique glimpse behind the scenes.

The Valkyrie: more than a car

The Aston Martin Valkyrie isn't just a car; it's a statement. With a design inspired by Formula 1, this hypercar is a paragon of innovation and technical perfection. Its light weight, impressive performance, and characteristic sound make the Valkyrie a unique presence. But the road to this masterpiece wasn't without its bumps. Lenaerts and his partner, photographer Lies de Mol, had exclusive access to the Valkyrie's development for five years. Their experiences and observations are documented in the book Inside Valkyrie, which was originally only available to the 150 lucky owners of the car.

Unique stories and anecdotes

During the lecture at the Louwman Museum, Lenaerts will share stories that go beyond technical specifications. He'll discuss the human side of the project: the broken relationships, the creative clashes, and the relentless quest for perfection. It's a story of passion and perseverance, offering visitors a new perspective on what it takes to create a car like the Valkyrie.

An exclusive opportunity for car enthusiasts

The lecture begins at 11:00 AM and is open to all visitors to the Louwman Museum with a valid ticket. After the lecture, there will be an opportunity to ask questions, and Lenaerts and De Mol will sign their book. For those who want more than just listening, there's the option to purchase the book. Inside Valkyrie Available for purchase in the museum shop. A limited number of copies of the deluxe four-issue box set are also available.
