Auto Motor Klassiek number 9, Tuesday 31 August in the kiosk

The new edition of Auto Motor Klassiek, that of September, will be in the kiosk from 31 August. But as a subscriber you already have it at home for the weekend.

Of course we have again done our utmost in this edition to provide you with a few hours of reading pleasure. You will find plenty of news and information in the extensive news and sports sections in every edition and we recently went to Alexander Strik for this beautiful Pontiac Firebird with extra steroids.

Rene de Ruyter tells about the legendary motorcycle brand Douglas and puts a number of special examples in front of the lens.

Peter Ecury rode the Hardenberg Classic and was impressed again this year by the quality of the rally.

Chris de Raaf again takes an interesting youngtimer from the trading stock of a well-known dealer and feels a Mercedes 300 E W124 from 1985. He has just become tax free and that makes this virgin mileage eater a desirable item.

Geert Huylebroeck was present at Bikers Classics, which has since become legendary, roamed the paddock and watched the impressive historic racing violence on two wheels from the sidelines.

The belly-tank racer is very special. A project that has stretched out over several years and whose ultimate goal is the endless salt flats of Bonneville. The fuel tank of a historic cargo aircraft was used exactly as it was in the 1950s.

It doesn't always have to be perfect. The Jaguar Mark Ten in this issue shows that you can have at least as much pleasure with a car that is technically just fine, but optically still has quite a bit of work. A mobile restoration, now owned by the current owner for ten years.

Peter Ecury was already a few months ago Auto Motor Klassiek present at the circuit of Goodwood, where the Breakfast Club had a meeting with the theme 'sporting saloons'. Of course we did not want to withhold a short report of this party.
