Purchasing classics there

Something to keep an eye on, a BMW from the 02 series, because they are also becoming more and more expensive. 

After the Bavarian car manufacturer was saved by the success of the 1500, 1800 and 2000, the 1966 series followed in 02, indicating that it was an 2 door version.

1600-2 to 1602

Also powered by a four-cylinder engine with the first two digits indicating the engine capacity. The BMW 1600-2 that was also available as an 1968 from 2002, an 2 liter version. It could not fail to happen, an 1600 and 2002 convertible soon followed, and a faster version with double Solex carburetors, the 1600 ti and 2002 ti which as such were included in the delivery package up to 1971. As an option, an Alpina package could also be purchased. From that year find one Facelift Place. The 1600-2 is now called 1602, while there is also an 1802 (with 1800 engine) available and the 2002 tii with mechanical injection.

Touring

The Touring, a variant with a huge tailgate, is also experiencing its introduction. In August 1973 allowed the world to become acquainted with further implemented makeover. Larger, square rear lights, a plastic grille and other rims were the eye-catching exterior features. The convertible is then only available with a not too nice roll bar and is called 2002 Bauer.

2002 turbo, the most rare

The 1974 turbo with mechanical injection and a turbocharger appears in 2002, all in all good for 170 hp. That is the most rare 02, because only 1.672 copies were delivered. A year later, the 02 series cleared the field - although the 1502 remained available in 1977 - and was succeeded by the E21. It may be clear that the ti, tii, turbo and Touring are the most wanted BMWs of that time. As far as the 02 is concerned, it is wise, if you want, to buy one now, because they are rising in price. Be sure to look carefully at what you are going to do, because such a BMW can also rust terribly, the parts delivery is a difficult and often expensive story ...
