Purchasing classics there

... not like Harley, but still.

BMW has bought 1,3 hectares of land on which the factory has stood where it once started.

The first BMW plant was built in 1916 in Milbertshofen, a suburb of Munich. Aircraft engines were built there during WWI. BMW says they want to redesign the country into a new home for BMW Group Classic, a subsidiary that monitors and records the history of BMW.

The factory, which was close to the airport of Oberwiesenfeld, focused on the production of aircraft engines. They were used in the first World War. That story came to an end with the Treaty of Versailles.

In WWII, the factory in the Munich district again fell victim to the violence of war. but now everything is still going to be fine.

The idea is that the location will house a workshop and the BMW archives plus a shop for classic parts.

The site will also be used for the organization of events.
