The BMW M3 E30 is recognized worldwide as one of the most iconic sports cars of the 3s. BMW built its reputation on fast, safe and sporty models that not only dominated international racetracks, but also proved to be desirable cars for everyday use. The BMW M30 E14 in particular, with its powerful SXNUMX engine, is a model that has become a firm favourite with many car enthusiasts.
The admiration for these fast BMWs is great, and that certainly applies to Ben, who is completely under the spell of his white BMW M3 E30, equipped with a 2,3 liter S14 engine with four cylinders, 16 valves, and more than 200 hp. This model, which was introduced in 1986 and found its way to passionate drivers in 1987, was designed for pure driving pleasure and precision. The BMW M3 E30 is not a car for the masses, but a car that is primarily aimed at the real driving enthusiast, like Ben, who is proud to wear the famous white and blue BMW logo.
History and technical data
The BMW M3 E30 was developed to meet the homologation regulations for the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft (DTM) and Group A racing. The car was not only a visual statement with its flared wheel arches and aerodynamic spoiler package, but also a technical masterpiece. The engine, the S14B23, was derived from BMW's racing experience and developed 3 hp and 30 Nm of torque in the European version of the M200 E240. These specifications were impressive for a four-cylinder engine of that time, and made the M3 E30 one of the fastest production cars in its class.
The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in about 6,7 seconds and has a top speed of 235 km/h. This made the M3 one of the most impressive cars in its class and a favorite among car enthusiasts.
Ben's dedication
Ben lives his passion for BMW to the fullest. He has put a lot of work into both his family and business, but also into owning and restoring his beloved BMW M3 E30. The restoration took three years and was carefully carried out with original parts, an investment that has more than paid for itself. Not only has the market value of the car increased, but the emotional value means that the BMW will never go away.
German quality
“The car was delivered new in Germany and after being imported, I have owned it since 1996,” Ben proudly says. “It is a true enthusiast’s car with excellent driving characteristics. The ‘M’ in M3 stands for Motorsport, which immediately indicates that this model is no ordinary BMW.” Together with a good friend, Ben carried out the restoration, a process that took three years and for which an extensive photo file was kept. His pursuit of perfection resulted in the engine being completely overhauled, so that the car is in top condition.
You are what you drive
A car says a lot about a person, and for Ben, his BMW M3 E30 reflects his adventurous and determined character. He competes in rallies with friends, where his unique M3 often attracts attention due to its rarity and charisma. For enthusiasts like Ben, who can express their passion in their hobby, this is a form of pure joy and creativity.
