Cars' n Bikes, Stars & Stripes
The organization of the American Day has something special on the program this year: Pro Wrestling Showdown is coming to Waarland with international American Wrestling matches. The Cars' n Bikes, Stars & Stripes event will take place again this year on Ascension Day, Thursday 14 May from 12:00 to 20:00. Location is on Jonkerstraat in Waarland (NH) and entrance is free.
Hulk Hogan, Dwayne Johnson, John Cena and Randy Orton, four names that kept millions of fans glued to the tube every week in the 80s and 90s. We are of course talking about American Wrestling or as it's officially called; Pro Wrestling. Pro Wrestling Showdown is the largest wrestling organization in the Netherlands and is known for putting on a great show with action, humor, tension and spectacle. They mainly perform abroad and in the south of the Netherlands, but can now finally also be seen in North Holland. Times and line-up can be found on the website, admission to this open air spectacle is free. After the show there will be a Meet & Greet with the wrestlers.
Prior to the event, a Johnny Cash church service was organized in collaboration with the local church. This special service will be musically accompanied by the live band Cashflow3. It is a thematic church service with beautiful gospel numbers where everyone is welcome, then you walk straight to the event area where the band will play another set. Besides the band Cashflow3, the Johnny Cash Cover Band, another Dutch top formation. The trio Slapback Johnny brings you rockabilly combined with jump blues, swing and rock & roll. They use a mix of classic songs and self-written songs. Last but not least the Pink Moon Babies, a Japanese all girl rockabilly trio. Asian sushi rock & roll with songs by Elvis, Wanda Jackson and own work with a touch of the movie Kill Bill. We also booked Rock & Roll DJ At's Record Hop again, he provides non-stop music. All bands are presented on our website and can be seen and heard via a link.
For the children we have the cool Bungy trampoline brought to Waarland again. Kinderdagverblijf de Keet is also present with a team and the children can, among other things, have a nice crest set.
In short, enough to experience, so put 14 in the agenda again!
