What still stands out after so many years are the beautiful elegant lines of this Chevrolet Corvair with a six-cylinder air-cooled boxer engine in the back. The car with a license plate from the Grand Canyon State (Arizona) is from 1962.
In Europe it is - in perfect condition - not to be found in large numbers, which is why Bert Zijlstra from the Frisian Damwoude took it from overseas himself. If you long for the outdoors, it will be a dream of many classic enthusiasts to own this Chevrolet Corvair. Driving with the top open gives a certain charm that is difficult to describe. What is certain is that it is an extremely tempting means of transport.
If you have become the owner of this classic Chevrolet Corvair Convertible, there is another free advice for the riding ladies: “You have to take into account that the sun and the wind can strongly dry out the skin, applying a protective layer of cream therefore recommended. It also ensures that the dust cannot penetrate too deeply into the skin. Sunglasses are indispensable, with an open roof also more dust penetrates and this does not benefit the beauty of the clothes. ” The beauty of the topless Corvair is left untouched.
This Chevrolet Corvair is so different, so much more fun than a modern car, because of its chic appearance, the sun will shine automatically. Well… the reality is that I can only stare at the Corvair because unfortunately I have not yet met “Lady Fortuna”. But can happily enjoy this 'beauty', even if it belongs to someone else.
