The right car at the right time, after getting his driver's license Bram was able to enrich his life with a 32-year-old Citroën BX GTI. He found this gem of the French car industry at the local dealer, where this serviceable classic has been in the possession of the previous owner for more than 10 years.

De Citroën BX GTI from 1990 has always had regular maintenance. It is just a very nice net car that will be a pleasant and reliable travel companion. There are no longer many that 'float' in normal daily traffic, and that is what the real Citrophiles appreciate. You can hardly wish for more comfortable transport, the suspension system is considered perfect.
What does the image do?
Bram: “When the name BX is mentioned, it always leads to strong opinions. My opinion? A special car from the eighties, straight and angular. The appearance of the Citroën BX GTI, the appearance and the now retro model appeal to me. I even think it's cool with the spoiler on the back."
Made for top performance
A Citroën BX GTI that performs even more than the normal BX. A powerful version of a car that is already one of the most original and striking cars. Its power source provides rapid acceleration. A very nice dashboard with a well designed interior. On the outside is the Citroën BX GTI recognizable by the large rear spoiler, which contributes to better driving characteristics at higher speeds.
A special place
As mature enthusiasts, we know that the first car always holds a special place in your heart. Bram has therefore started an important moment in his life at the young age of 18. The Citroën BX GTI: The sporty and legendary handling makes it a great car, but for Bram it is much more! A common hobby with his father, his first car was also a BX over 30 years ago, and now they have one again.

What a beautiful car from Bram. Just be careful with it. As several people have already written, you rarely see them driving…. Truly a unique car! Own a Citroën BX 1.6 TRS Automatic, owned for 4.5 years now. Original mileage of 108.000 km. I also own a Citroën 2CV special 1986.
Both cars in use, they are indoors and cherished.
Have driven many, from the base 14 to the GTI and the Turbodiesels.
Except for the 14 (with 4 gearbox) all fine cars. The GTI was certainly fast for its time. Had the version with 130hp and later with 120hp and catalytic converter and automatic transmission.
But I personally think the best engines are the Turbodiesel. Lots of torque, nice dark sound and seriously smooth!
This GTI is exceptionally beautiful and the paintwork is beautiful! Be frugal because there are not many of them left and they are now (finally) becoming more popular and therefore more expensive.
It is and remains a beautiful car. I still regret getting rid of it. Never had such a comfortable driving car again.
The French are finally starting to appreciate the BX again, especially the TZI/GTi and 16 Soupapes. Am a member of a FB group with BX owners in the Netherlands and despite the fact that many BX die due to E10 problems in combination with old fuel lines, a significant number are still alive. I would buy one of those, great comfort and extremely practical.
My 1st 3 cars were R5GTL/TL/TL, the 4th one Citroën Visa 14TRS from 1985, the 5th an 88'er BX GTI in the same color red. After approx. Traded in 4 years on a '91er BX GTI16V in white. A total of 9 years Citroën BX driven, with great pleasure. Unfortunately none of the cars I've had in the past are alive anymore.
My first car was a Mini. Just like my father. But would certainly have preferred a BX GTI!
But neighbor, what are you doing now. . . . .
That was a CX GTI Turbo2…
From the photos (“Polaroid!”) they bought a BX Sport
