Sijtze has sympathy for all classic vehicles, if only one Citroën is. He still thinks that Citroën the styling of the cars is determined by its creative designers. Brilliant inventors and daredevils through the ages. Especially the Citroën DS plays a leading role in his life.

Sijtze is a 'car-friendly' man who can spend hours philosophizing about his (car) life. His father used to get a loan car because of bad luck with his own car. You guessed it. That loan car was one Citroën DS. After three weeks of use, he did not want to give up the car because of his sublime driving pleasure. So the infection to his son Sijtze is explained with this.
That the Citroen DS starring in this family becomes apparent when he says he is over 30 himself Citroëns owned DS. It was not always a symbol of wealth, because many remained unsold. So cheap. With the result that a pike was sometimes used in the cross.
Family car
It goes without saying that Sijtze (66) himself is a Citroen DS drives. His wife too. And his son also has a magical DS. And to give an even broader picture of his car hobby. There are two Tractions on the site, several CXs, a CX Break 6-wheeler, GS etc. And there are enough parts to make repairs. There is still work for different lives.
Business is still active in his garage. The company car is a CX break (of course). But due to medical limitations, he must be (Citroën) curb enthusiasm and spend less time in his working life. His car hobby and enthusiasm is just like a cold sore: It keeps coming back, that virus always remains active.
Also interesting to read:
Sijtze clearly has taste, and I am not saying that because I also happen to be heavily Citrophilic ... and thus imply that I have taste
I like scrap iron, I don't care about the number of wheels underneath.
Tribute Sijts… keep going!
