Still fresh, and packed with new classic stories. Issue 10-2024 is the latest edition of Auto Motor Klassiek and space has also been reserved for an extensive report on the Citroën Dyane. The A-type of the brand with the Double Chevron always stood - except for a few years - in the shadow of the 2CV. And we brought her out of the shadow.
Because such a Dyane, who served in various capacities during her sixteen-year construction period, Citroën was produced, shares much technology with the 2CV. And yet it does have its own character. And we describe that in the current AMK edition.
We will discuss the technology, the changes, the details of the Dyane career, the history of the model. Of course, the development history will also be discussed. And of course: there is a time difference between the development of the 2CV and the Dyane. And that will of course also be reflected in practical terms.
To experience the difference in person, we drove an early Dyane. The car dates from 1968 and is equipped with the 435 cc engine. The new delivery took place in France, today our model is waiting for a new owner. Fortunately, we were able to take a close look at the car, and we were also able to immerse ourselves in nostalgic feelings. The excellent model played a starring role in her own, modest way, and you can read how that turned out in AMK 10-2024.
Of course, the most recent edition of our unparalleled classic car magazine is again chock full of reports on historic cars and motorcycles. And you will also find the news sections, the columns, the advertisers, the classic car range and all other familiar things that we have forgotten. Enthusiasts know: this edition also belongs in the car magazine basket. So, if you are not yet a subscriber, do it. And would you rather buy a single copy? Do it too. Be there, because the magazine is on the shelves of the kiosk, the bookstore and other specialist shops. We wish you much reading pleasure!

Ear problems in classic cars? In my classic Mini I put on noise cancelling headphones (they also come as earphones)…
The only standard passenger car in which I transported an upright piano. And entire household effects. With a 'Commercial' version (tin lid for over the spare wheel - an accessory that moved with later Diane's) and of course the easily removable roof and tailgate that was very easy. Superbly practical car compared to the more popular Duck. And was more aerodynamic, but lacked The Radiance. I hope (and expect) that the few Dyane's that are still around are cherished. Too bad my ears don't like driving it anymore. That's old age for you!
I've had two, multi-functional car, then a duck, also nice.
