parking, Arnhem, parking meters
A sign of dissatisfaction

When parking his Jaguar in Arnhem, Rob van Pernis was confronted with a piece of civil recklessness.

The parking strategy in Arnhem is that you can park your transport to be able to buy it back at the end of the day. In the event of defects in the parking meter, these must be reported to a telephone number noted on the bollard.

That telephone number is not structurally answered.

And in the meantime, the Parking Police are making their rounds.

Then you will be fined.

And you can protest.

That protest is rejected.

Someone apparently became very angry about that. Reader Rob and his company counted a whole bunch of bollards that had been made useless with a paint that we would very much like to have the name of.

The parking policy in Arnhem is debatable. But fortunately the city is no less fun about it
