The Classic Motor Show in Bremen attracted a record number of visitors this year. For the 2014 edition, which was held from 31 January to 2 February, 45.186 visitors passed the gates of the Bremer Messe. An impressive and well-organized event was set up there.

Variety
Six hundred exhibitors from twelve countries, spread over seven halls and a mobile hall, offered a selection of historic motor vehicles. Furthermore, the visitor was given a glimpse into some restoration processes and was given the opportunity to supplement the display cabinet with beautiful scale models or to further expand the car book collection. There was also a wide selection of components for the historical heritage.

Wirtschaftswunderzeit
This year, the classic car fair, also popular in our country, was dominated by the economic miracle. The visitor was treated to a variety of classic motor vehicles that made a major contribution to the growth of motor mobility in the first decades after the war. Various post-war mopeds, motorcycles, midget cars, passenger cars and rare luxury passenger cars from that era - such as the Mercedes Benz 300 SL Gullwing - were exhibited in multiple sections. In the run-up to the fair, the organizers also built a petrol station from that time, with a Messerschmitt and a Goggomobil providing the appropriate decoration.

The Messerschmitt was of course not to be missed during the Wirtschaftswunder theme in Bremen. He stood there with verve.

Growth is partly due to foreign visitors
Stock market director Hans Peter Schneider was pleased with the figures, which showed a plus of 10% compared to last year. “The growth is partly due to visitors from the three Benelux countries and of course also Scandinavia. They were good for a foreign visitor's share of more than fourteen percent. It was also striking that 15,4% of the people who visited the fair for the first time drove more than 300 kilometers to get to Bremen. This is partly a result of the alignment of the range of scholarship offers to the existing needs ”

Meeting point
Schneider continues: "The Bremen Classic Motor Show has lived up to its good reputation and presented itself as a high-quality meeting point for the classic car scene and as a trading platform for the industry and owner." This year's fair raises the bar even higher for the next version. It will take place at the same location in 2015 and will be open from 6 to 8 February.
