After Gerard Numeijer had handed over his large motorcycle shop, the current Motoport location, to his son-in-law, he started again on a small scale for himself. Nubo motors 'does' in classics and their maintenance and repair. And Gerard's passion? Those are classic racing machines.
He figured out how many of them had to be in a radius of 20 km around his hometown in barns and sheds. Noord Holland was a hotbed of road racers. Just think of De Witte Reus.
The party he came up with had started on a small scale, with an engine of ten. We are now a few editions further:
A great classic road race and road motor show. In Hipolytushoef of course! On November 8-9
It is a show with a wide variety of engines from light to heavy. Present include the
racers from Wil Hartog, Boet van Dulmen, Jack Middelburg and Marcel Ankone.
Also the ex racers of the Looyesteijn brothers and the sidecar combination
van Egbert Streuer with its own STREDOR block.
There are also many other interesting machines, including some unique ones. All in all about 60 pieces.
A visit is certainly worthwhile and a meeting point for many well-known from the motorcycle world and the entrance is free.
Location is the Harmonie room in the center of Hippolytushoef. So no sandwiches have to be taken.
Saturday from 10.00 hours to 24.00 hours.
