Sometimes you come into contact with people who enthusiastically tell about their experiences with a special car. Despite its condition, this DAF 66 from 1974 still conveys a sense of romance in the childhood memory of G. van der Ploeg.

This owner used to be a garage owner and presented the car in the showroom for years as a memory to his parents who pampered their DAF 66 years. It is clear that the DAF evokes beautiful memories for many and that its place in the showroom stimulates curiosity and that it can quickly become a topic of conversation. Is it emotion? Does that feel exist? Yes ... the feelings of affection are acceptable. In any case, it is certain that nostalgia does not have an expiration date and that it is passed on from generation to generation and is therefore of all times.
This white (?) DAF 66 therefore retains the appeal, a sentiment that we understand better than anyone. The Dutch solidity symbol is now soundless and somewhat desolate with the green touch. We believe that this born gas saver (?) Should reappear on the road. DAF called his 66 "The car that has everything". That is why this impressive (freshly washed and polished) insightful poker must be on the road again to please the owner and many other classic enthusiasts. What do you think about it?

I did, with great pleasure, drive the car of my better half. That was not 66 but what should have been called 77, but when 340 went through life. With a garage at my disposal, this 66 would certainly qualify as a garage filler / key car for my wife.
For lovers of Dutch nostalgia in general and DAF in particular, a visit to the DAF museum in Eindhoven is highly recommended. I have been there a few months ago and found it very nice / interesting.
