The 'pulling out' of dents from sheet material with a welded-on pin is known, but not very hobby friendly. And it results in consequential damage. Doing the job with a 'glued on' drawbar is hobby friendly. And much more employable than the option with suction cups.
The dot of glue goes on the dent, the pull piece is glued in and hooked onto the trigger. It then usually works with a sliding weight over a rod whose mass pulls the dent out of the material. But there are also systems at the dent with a threaded spindle being pulled out. That works pleasantly subtle.
The hobby sets are often a bit cheaper than the sets that can be purchased through our advertisers. And the gluing power of it is often too little. They are therefore a pointless purchase via Tell Sell.
Another disadvantage of the hobby sets: The pull rod and the sliding hammer are too light. Only suitable for very thin plates, not for classic steel or motorcycle tanks. With a meter of steel staff of 10 mm thick and a lump of brass of a kilo as a sliding hammer, we have more impact there. And it remains a matter of trying.
