Respectless end?

For us the concept of 'Banger racing' gives no charm. On the contrary, we would like to see special vintage cars saved. This Ford is ready to finish in such a race and has been specially picked up from a German scrap yard. A disrespectful end.

In the Banger race the goal is simple: Bring together a number of cars that are ready for demolition and try to finish last. For the enthusiasts it is a big spectacle where (almost) everything is allowed to eliminate the fellow drivers. A fierce sport due to the many optaters that are being distributed. 

Before this Ford enters the battlefield, metal beams are inserted to protect the driver. The question remains why a funeral car? That is probably because there is also a cup to earn at the presentation of the most special car, and that is this Ford then again.
