Super E10 summarized. Because even the euro 95 even has more than 5% alcohol. And so it gets worse!
• is corrosive to the tank, but also to gaskets, tank seals and tin and tin joints (solder joints), yellow and red copper. These materials are common in old petrol tanks before and after restoration. Aluminum is also not safe.
• the combustion characteristics are different, which means that not every engine will run smoothly
• You drive less far with it
The ethanol in the gasoline also affects other materials: tin alloys (solder joints), yellow and red copper, aluminum, plastics and many old tank sealers (tank coatings).
In the meantime, it can be reported that there is often such an 95-7% alcohol in the Euro 8.
So fill up with 'super' 98 or Shell V Power or in case of limited use with very little undercarriage the absolutely stable, not hygroscopic but expensive Aspen petrol.
But when putting away in the winter, forget the old rule to always do that with a full tank. The alcohol in gasoline makes the gasoline hygroscopic. With a full tank you get more water in the tank!
