Builder of LPG installations Vialle was declared bankrupt by the court in Den Bosch on Tuesday.
The demand for the installations has declined sharply in recent years, partly due to the famous political decisions, so that the Eindhoven manufacturer was no longer able to keep its head above water.
Due to the bankruptcy, more than forty people will end up on the street. Whether there will be a restart is not yet clear.
The fact that the company went bankrupt did not come as a surprise. The Brabant company was not doing well for several years because the market for LPG equipment has collapsed. According to the latest available figures, about 2013, a loss of 2,5 million euros was incurred on a turnover of 8,4 million euros. The years before, red numbers were also written.
Dismissal
Six years ago, dismissal was requested for about half of the 121 manpower at the time. Costs were also cut in other areas. Although Vialle continued for several years, bankruptcy was inevitable. Many major car manufacturers used the services of the company in the past. Volkswagen, Ford, Daf and Hyundai, among others, were customers.
Autogas, also known as LPG, has been under pressure for several years. Among other things due to a tax increase on 1 January 2014 of seven cents per liter, excluding VAT and inflation correction. The unfavorable tax measures for old-timers, which in many cases run on LPG, also contributed. Many pump owners see that the sale of LPG has fallen considerably lately.
It is not at all politically concerned about safety or the environment: LPG simply does not earn enough tax. Every entrepreneur who thinks the VVD is there for business is an owl chick. They are only for multinationals.
