Displayed include the MP4-5B from 1990 with which Ayrton Senna became world champion. The collection also includes the legendary 1996 BMW F1 GTR Le Mans from Marc Duez, Jacques Lafitte and Steve Soper and the M8F Can-Am winner from Peter Revson from 1971. Of course the champion cars of Mika Häkkinen and Lewis Hamilton are not missing. Successes
According to Ronald Kooyman, director of the Louwman Museum, the exhibition gives a good impression of the brand: “McLaren has a wonderful history that we show to the general public through a special collection of cars. There are unique cars that have rarely or never been exhibited before. ”
Arjen van Beek, director of Louwman Exclusive, the Dutch importer of McLaren, about the initiative:
“The exhibition is important for the British brand. Not only do we show that McLaren has a rich history with great successes, the exhibition also makes it clear that today's cars benefit from the knowledge and experience gained in motor sport. Whoever chooses a McLaren, chooses a car brand to be proud of. ”
