The first thing that strikes you is the condition of this Ford 26 M, an adult family car, which we found in a village near Drachten. The rust is already nibbling at the metal, but the iron caries can still be removed with the necessary craftsmanship.

The Ford 26 M was the flagship of the German Ford line in the late 60s and early 70s. The 26 M was based on the 20 M, but equipped with a stronger engine. The trim was luxurious. The appearance was very nice with the vinyl roof. Ford himself described it as: distinguished from the outside and silent luxury from the inside.
All extras were standard: the sliding roof, the siesta chairs, the fabric upholstery and radial tires. This beautiful classic has no license plate. Would that be a precursor to acting as a donor car? We are counting on a second life for this Ford, such an elegant car deserves a new chance. Every classic enthusiast naturally loves classics from which you can read the history.
Also interesting:
Certainly worth restoring. From the 20 / 26M series, just under 69 copies of 71-100.000 were made. Just like the English Zephyr / Zodiac series, it was not a great success. Ford Köln was somewhat lost in the late 60s. In terms of quality and handling, they cannot match the everyone's friends Rekord / Commodore from Opel but are just as much fun
