Joop Bremer reads Auto Motor Klassiek and therefore the fact that he is a classic fan will not surprise you either. And Joop and his wife Rhea recently witnessed the centenary celebration of the Kop Hill Climb, an event in which it is indeed important to come up with the Kop Hill in this case as quickly as possible.
Fate struck in 1925, however, and the event was banned by the government after the accident with a Bugatti, in which a number of spectators were injured. But the English are not English if the centenary of this hill climb was not celebrated exuberantly, with ... indeed, a hill climb. A salient detail is that the Bugatti (yes, number 13) that was the cause of the end of this event also participated. Joop reacts enthusiastically: “By the way, all cars and motorcycles were still able to actually drive and therefore participated in the hill climb. With the drizzle that fell on Sunday, it was a really complete fun English day with the special atmosphere that we are used to there. ”We have put all the pictures that Joop shot on the website.
