Purchasing classics there

When purchasing a new classic you sometimes come across strange things.

And we are not even talking about a corpse in the trunk. In the intake path of one of our own classics there was a construction that was certainly not factory-made but looked professional. To bring the case back to the original, the hose extension on the suction side was removed. And the highly dynamic, highly glossy inlet nest was once viewed in peace.

What appeared to be a High Tech inlet restriction streamline unit turned out to be a modified cover for the wall mounting of a kitchen or bath tap. Equipped with a mischievous hole pattern. Nice is not it? And what was the secret behind it? Utility? Who knows may say.

Oh yes, the car was fitted with LPG for rebuilding to excise juice.
