InterClassics Brussels 2024: Maserati celebration, unique Barnfinds and live radio broadcast

The weekend of 15, 16 and 17 November will once again be entirely dedicated to the 9th InterClassics Brussels for classic car enthusiasts. Collectors, enthusiasts and the curious will descend on the iconic Heyzel Palaces in Brussels to immerse themselves in the world of classic cars. With no less than 40.000 square metres of young and old-timers, classic and supercars, this is one of the largest indoor car fairs in Europe. This year, InterClassics Brussels will also be celebrating the 110th anniversary of Maserati. From exclusive James Bond cars to rare Barnfinds and pre-war vehicles – it promises to be another spectacular edition.

The icing on the cake? The fair has been nominated for the prestigious title of 'Best Historic Motoring Event'. A recognition that fair manager Erik Panis is rightly proud of: "This is the most prestigious award in the classic world, and the fact that our fair is mentioned alongside names such as Pebble Beach and Rétromobile Paris is already a great honour for us."

Maserati as guest of honour

This year, InterClassics Brussels is all about the anniversary of Maserati, the iconic Italian sports car brand that was founded 110 years ago. In the specially designed Maserati exhibition, visitors can experience the rich history of the brand. "We are bringing together a collection of twenty iconic sports and racing cars with a combined insurance value of almost 40 million euros," says Panis. In addition to Maserati, you can also admire cars from brands such as Lotus, Aston Martin, and Lamborghini at the fair, as well as the impressive collection of D'Ieteren, where you will find Bentley, Bugatt and Porsche, among others.

Barnfinds and a bit of James Bond

For lovers of the raw charm of unrestored finds, there is the special Barnfind collection, straight from America. The JWS Classic Cars stand, packed with dusty classics and surrounded by straw bales, gives a unique atmosphere. As an extra, visitors can view a special James Bond car that Roger Moore once drove.

Tribute to Belgian racing legend 'Christine' Beckers

Sports fans will not be disappointed either: this year InterClassics Brussels will be showing the racing cars of Christine Beckers, a Belgian rally legend and six-time champion. Thanks to the collaboration with Auto Club Ouest, the organiser of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, three exclusive top cars of Beckers can be admired, including Thierry Boutsen's Arrows Formula 1 car.

Live Radio2 broadcast and more

For those looking for a unique experience, Radio2 will be providing a live broadcast of the popular programme 'De Weekwatchers' at the fair on Saturday 16 November. Presenter Ruben Van Gucht and his guests will be enjoying breakfast among the classic cars, and visitors can listen and watch live. The broadcast can also be seen on VRT 1, so you won't miss anything.

An evening full of luxury at the Preview Night

Before the fair, there is an exclusive Preview Night on Thursday evening, where star chef David Martin serves a special dinner amidst the most beautiful classic cars. This evening, which is specially designed for lovers of luxury and ambiance, offers a unique start to the event and is becoming more popular every year.

Private sales and online platform Youcar.be

InterClassics Brussels also offers a platform for private sellers, where cars up to the year of manufacture 2005 are offered. This year, the fair is working with the new online used car party Youcar.be, and there are still a few places available for those who want to offer their car for sale.

Experience InterClassics Brussels

The 9th edition of the InterClassics Classic Car Show in Brussels will take place on 15, 16 and 17 November 2024 in the Heyzelpaleizen 4, 5, 6 and the Patio. It promises to be another edition full of experience and unique automotive history. Tickets and more information can be found at www.interclassics.events.

  1. InterClassics Brussels knows how to raise the bar every year. The combination of luxury car brands such as Maserati, the unique finds from the Barnfinds and the presence of historic racing cars make for a varied fair that appeals to enthusiasts of all ages. This year I am especially curious about the Maserati exhibition, but the collaboration with Auto Club Ouest to show the racing cars of Christine Beckers is also fantastic. The fact that this event has now also been nominated for 'Best Historic Motoring Event' is more than justified!

  2. Last year was my first time at InterClassics Brussels, and I was immediately sold. The diversity of classic cars, from sports cars to pre-war models and special finds, made it an unforgettable day. My father and I will definitely go again; for us this has become an annual outing!

  3. I have been coming to InterClassics Brussels for a few years now and although I find the Maserati exhibition interesting, I do miss some surprises this year. The offer is nice, but it feels a bit like 'more of the same'. Maybe something to look into in the future?

  4. InterClassics Brussels never disappoints. The atmosphere, the beautiful cars and the attention to detail always make it a great experience. I am especially looking forward to the Maserati exhibition and the Barnfinds.
