The anniversary edition of InterClassics Maastricht attracted a record number of visitors to the capital of Limburg last weekend. No fewer than 34.447 buyers and enthusiasts passed the gates of the MECC. The former record from 2016 (29.660 visitors) was surpassed by this. Two important aspects were important for the success of the 25e edition of the exhibition. The organization started a large-scale national media campaign in the run-up to the event. She also presented the special "18 themes" main act.

The organization was very interested in crossing the border of 30.000 visitors during the anniversary edition of the largest old-timer exhibition in the Netherlands. Because those responsible for communication not only informed the trade press. In addition to press releases and advertisements in multiple magazines, the organization also paid attention to TV commercials. In addition, Goedemorgen Nederland - the breakfast program from WNL - was good for two impressions, in which Lex Classics and Houtkamp were shown.

Eighteen themes, eighteen masterpieces

The organization reported several times on the 18 themes that have been conducted in Maastricht over the years. With that retrospective as a starting point, a unique collection of 18 masterpieces was presented. The Aston Martin DB5 'James Bond' (1964) was an absolute draw. The original DB5 that secret agent James Bond in the film "Goldfinger" was handed over by engineer "Q" for the execution of his mission, received a lot of interest. The Jaguar D-Type (1956) also caught the eye 'XKD 606 the 1957 Le Mans Winner' and the Ford Mustang 'Eleanor' (model 1967 carries the fleet number 7). The Ford was specially built by the Cinema Vehicle Services in California for the success movie "Gone in 60 Seconds" with Nicolas Cage and Angelina Jolie in the lead roles.

"Pride"

Manager Erik Panis reacted with satisfaction and looked back at InterClassics Maastricht. 'Every year we face a challenge to create a high-quality exhibition. We naturally want to realize that for both visitors and exhibitors. As a team we are very proud that the public has found their way to MECC Maastricht in such large numbers. Because never before in the history of 25 year InterClassics have we welcomed so many visitors'.

Exhibitors do good business

Exhibitors can also look back on a successful and high-quality anniversary edition. According to the organization, various cars in Maastricht changed hands this year. A special mention deserves the presence of the FEHAC Academy, where numerous classic-related topics were presented.
