It has become a household name: Star Cars & Coffee at Klaas de Poel in Surhuisterveen. The 2th edition took place on September 2018, 10, and in the best tradition it was again a real Mercedes party. The meeting was characterized by low threshold, excellent organization and a pleasant atmosphere. The excellent late summer weather added an extra boost.

This year too, the Star Cars & Coffee site was accessible to anyone with a passion for Mercedes-Benz. Owners of classic Benzen, ultramodern models, passenger cars, delivery vans and trucks were all welcome at the main site on Groningerstraat in Surhuisterveen. Visitors, who do not own a Mercedes-Benz, were also thought of. Ample parking facilities were created for them. They, too, were given the opportunity to immerse themselves in Mercedes-Benz atmospheres in a hospitable manner.

New entrance, different terrain

The organization once again greeted a large number of Mercedes-Benz models and owners. Last year cbw greetings Klaas de Poel and his people a rise of 350 cars, this year the number was similar. The organization devised a different layout for the anniversary edition. This year a larger (grass) area was available for the Benz youngtimers and the classics. Younger Mercedes and very special examples from a distant past were set up in other places. Very nice was the way in which the owners could make their entrance with their Mercedes-Benz. They did an imaginary course before they were assigned their place. The entry thus had the dignified character of every participant, reminiscent of a real parade.

Diverse activities

The large number of Mercedes-Benz specimens of various cuts, of course, formed the main part of the meeting. Nevertheless, those responsible also arranged other activities in Surhuisterveen. These were incidentally closely related to the nature of the event. Egbert Laagland of Laagland Taxaties acted the presence. In addition, owners of their beloved Mercedes-Benz were able to have small claims handled by Willem Schaap restyling. There was also a stand with (mostly) 1: 43 models from Mercedes-Benz for the miniature enthusiast and of course people could also supplement their stock with car cosmetics.

Elections, Star stock and hospitality

Decoration and beauty shop Naturel, which is also located on the large Klaas de Poel complex, was also opened. They provided energy drinks from Beyuna Energy for regular customers and Mercedes-Benz drivers. A Lady of the Day election was also held. Wilma Stenzen - known for her Mimosagele Mercedes-Benz 280 SL who played a leading role in AMK edition 6-2014 - won prizes. There was also a "Best Mercedes of show". Visitors could also take a look at the Star Stock of Klaas de Poel in one of the halls. Finally, the catering facilities: they were once again excellent. The inner person could be well cared for both in the open air and in lunchhouse De Lauwers.

Big feather

The way in which the guests were welcomed and the way in which the event was organized in its entirety again deserve great praise. An enthusiastic team of volunteers guided the participants of Star Cars & Coffee to their seats in a routine and friendly manner. Traditionally, the incoming Mercedes models were greeted and named with passion and commitment. Incidentally, the “side activities” were also prominent in the picture and the spatial layout of the anniversary edition left nothing to be desired.

Fixed Mercedes-Benz value without any dedain

Klaas de Poel and his team again showed how accessibility and perfection can go together. With this, those responsible provided proof that Star Cars & Coffee can no longer be ignored in the event agenda. And not only that: they once again made a major contribution to the brand experience within the loyal Mercedes-Benz community. And that is a unit that accurately represented all forms of Mercedes-Benz experience on a sunny Sunday afternoon in Surhuisterveen. On to the 2019 edition!
