Art from the Czech Republic: Lucie paints
Lucie Vavrečková is a friendly Czech woman with good taste. She loves classics and draws them - also on commission - In her drawings she captures the essence of the classic that must be immortalized.
She draws and paints with pencil and watercolor. The 'photo model' is captured according to model and spirit. The background can be changed as desired. Her work is already very popular in Czech and Slovak Jawa and CZ circles. Of course there is a bit of national pride (and good taste) involved. But Lucie is not a hard-core nationalist, so she happily accepts assignments to put any classic on paper. For a drawing in A4 format, she charges €70 for an A4, and €70 for an A3 image. The shipping costs are 16 euros.
It's just a fact for the romantics among us. The á' ending in surnames of Czech women.
With a few exceptions, Czech and Slovak girls carry their father's surname from birth, supplemented with '–ová'. When they marry, they take their husband's surname, again supplemented with '-ová'. Complaints about this mandatory addition have existed for some time.
Outside the Czech Republic, people are sometimes surprised when a couple does not appear to have the same surname. In the Middle East, a Mr. Novák and a Mrs. Nováková do not always get a shared hotel room, no matter how long they have been married.
Lucie is easiest to reach via her Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/lucievavreckovakresbaveteranunazakazku. And we have no idea if she is married.

Beautiful drawings and decently priced. Especially for an individual and unique object.
Totally agree. And to think that when you, as a Dutch person, say that you see the prices as including shipping... Fortunately, we Dutch are not like that!
