An International Peugeot party in the Netherlands

It was already the 24e edition of the l'Aventure Peugeot Meeting (IAMP), which was held for the fourth time this time in the Netherlands in the long weekend from 17 to 19 June, an international celebration for the true Peugeot enthusiast. A combination of the Peugeot Hollande Association, the Peugeot 404 Association, Peugeot Club Nederland, importer Peugeot the Netherlands and l'Aventure Peugeot. Although not made public in the media, participants from Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Germany, England, Switzerland, Italy, Finland and even South Africa and of course the Netherlands found their way to hotel De Bilderberg in Oosterbeek.

From there it went - after the group photo of course - on its way via De Steeg, Ellecom, Laag Soeren, Eerbeek, Loenen and Beekbergen to enthusiastic public interest towards Het Loo in Apeldoorn. With 65 miles behind the wheel, sometimes with far pre-war specimens, the participants around 300 arrived without many problems. In the meantime, lunch was ready and it was possible to catch up and relax in the afternoon to look at the other participants and the beautiful gardens. Unfortunately, the participants had to miss the sunshine, until at least it was time to leave again, around three o'clock, towards the hotel. In the evening the participants were treated to a gala dinner at Radio Kootwijk, the former radiotelegraphic broadcasting station that was used by the PTT in 1923. At the end of 1998, Radio Kootwijk was decommissioned. What remains is a beautiful industrial heritage that offered a wonderful entourage to the Peugeot company.

Xavier Peugeot, who came over from France especially for l'Aventure Peugeot Meeting, thanked main organizer Klaas Kostelijk for the wonderful happening and the participants for bringing together the extensive history of the brand. After a route and lunch on Sunday, everyone returned home satisfied and with a richer experience.
