Rat look Duck

The original seats in such a Duck are nowadays not perceived by the much too spoiled motorist as 'comfortable', but to turn them into wooden benches? Then a long (er) ride becomes a real challenge

Slightly further than Broadstairs, well, 'a little further', hours away by car, your editors in Evershot, north of Dorchester in the Dorset County, were confronted with a somewhat messy industrial park, with the images shown here Citroën 2CV. At first glance it looks like a very old specimen. With a strange license plate. Coming closer, it is noticeable that a very special 'Duck' is. Built in 1983 and transformed by an enthusiast. That is what they call 'rat look' on the island. Sand the paint off - here and there right down to the can - and then apply a coating that, due to weather influences, prevents 'rusting' and finally becomes 'matte'. That makes it all seem like a solid polished paint job. An 'early' bonnet on it, 'rebuild' the British license plate according to their own insight, an 'F' and a French flag in the form of a sign on the back and nobody knows what it is all about anymore. But then, the inside. The already not so comfortable seats are stripped of their upholstery, then the seats are equipped with (hard) wooden boards ..., the original door upholstery has been removed and printed, former burlap bags ... In short, a Duck for the short journeys and even that must be quite a challenge ...?
