Traveling through the French country we suddenly see him, one Citroën BX! Even in France nowadays not much to see in daily traffic. The 'scrapping scheme' did take care of that. This copy was left by an owner because of 'a bit of bad luck'. That was months ago already. Quite a few phone calls and e-mails further afield carte grise, the French registration certificate again. The car dates from 1991 and has only driven 47.311 kilometers - as evidenced by the maintenance booklet present in the glove compartment - from new. It soon turns out that that 'bit of bad luck' turns out to be a connecting rod-by-the-engine block. Would it be anything for 500 Euro? le Hollandais to be? No, but don't. Your editor has no affection with the French brand ... the journey continues.
