Our story starts with the Deutsche Sparkasse, because they ordered this heavily armored Mercedes of the type 814 D from a specialized body shop in Frankfurt for the safe conduct of mobile banking.

The assignment was to provide maximum security for money transports, but also money transactions en route. That is why the car was equipped with very thick glass (and that is perhaps the only thing that the armored Mercedes can still be recognized by). But also double plating and extra armor for the safe in the bus that had to guarantee the safety of the money and the employees. It is logical that no further information about the construction was provided. After all, the dark forces in our society were not meant to be made any wiser.
Safety
Safety has remained the number 1 priority for Auke, because the bus is now used as a sales unit for items that must protect the drivers while exercising their hobby. And then you have to think of: Racing helmets, fire-resistant clothing, special racing belts, but also shoes and fire-resistant underwear.

The body code already indicates that the new destination of the heavy bus is for retail and exhibition purposes. He joined the German Sparkasse in 1997 and after his working life he came to the Netherlands in 2014. Now you can find Auke on the tracks during race days and for him it remains: Safety first at “Every race, every track and every lap”.
