The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8 is also known as 'Evo' and mainly supplied in Japan for use in rallies. How did this right-hand drive Japanese youngtimer end up in the Netherlands? According to the records, it drove from new in 2003 to 2019 in Japan, where it was put up for sale through an internet auction. After his purchase he eventually ended up in Scotland (Glasgow) where Albert van der Meer managed to track him down and drove him to the Netherlands. The youngtimer looks immaculate in its deep black paint.

The engine of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8 has a power of 380 hp with 500 nm of torque and a top speed of 260 km per hour. The car has a freely programmable ecu, evo 8 mr camshaft. An evo 9 turbo with a manifold made by Albert himself and a 3 inch exhaust. (Mishimoting intercooling piping 1000 cc injectors.) In addition to these technical adjustments, all wishbones and subframe were repainted, the brakes overhauled and powerflex bushings installed.

Albert is only 22 years old, but already knows that if you do things that you enjoy, your car (hobby) life will become pleasant. He wants to feel the thrill and adrenaline with his Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8 and has already planned a visit to the Nürburgring. There he can safely explore the limits of this fast car.

Well. Is one supposed to say that? Do all 380 horses go to the asphalt via the front wheels? It seems to me that your tires quickly evaporate in smoke. 4 wheels seems a mandatory number to me.
Of course, it remains a practical family car. For if there is still time left for an additional hobby besides the car hobby 😎 Can then be perfectly combined.
