Morris Minor 'Convertible', it's just a tip

In Broadstairs, you know, just north of Ramsgate in the British County of Kent, we saw the Morris Minor 'Convertible' pictured here. If this version was not already striking enough, then certainly the tires painted with a 'white' brush. A wonderful vehicle that started its life in 1967 as a normal Morris Minor 1000. About two years ago - the owner said - the roof was cut off to make it into a convertible. No, there is no hood, just a tonneaucover to keep the rainwater 'outside'. In 1967 and then a so-called 'split screen '? No, also a 'joke' from the owner, 'just' assembling a strip. The most striking, however, was the grille. As if it was a Buick from the late 1940s, especially in the early 1950s. This was built (...) from six bumper rosettes of a MG MGB ... It's just a tip ?!
