The special feature of this engine is clear, of course. It is an exceptional build from a man who is not only devoted to Citroën, but also has golden hands. Motorcycle enthusiasts will recognize the Moto Guzzi Florida, but the power unit is clearly a different one.

By: Dirk de Jong

Albert provided the frame with a power source of a Citroën 2 resume. Just a driving registered motorcycle and that is a great technical achievement from Albert. He almost shone even more than his unique Moto Citroën, especially when he received a lot of appreciation at an international meeting in 2016.

The idea and design also literally came about because Albert spent all his spare time in the restoration of 'Double Chevrons' and saw a challenge to do more with the Citroën 2 CV engine to do.

Visa power source

For example, there is now a beautiful Duck in his 'man cave' that has been given a Visa power source. And there is still a beautiful Traction (11 B) that is also ready for summer rides after a 3-year restoration. It goes without saying that his daily transport is also the well-known Citroënlogo on the nose has: A C3 Citroën Piccasso. Can it be more enthusiastic?

The original engine was therefore a Moto Guzzi Florida and because of the V2 block, Albert also seemed to be able to mount the boxer of the 2CV, while the gearbox remained intact. The description at the RDW remained the same, only the number of horsepower of the Florida was adjusted to 30, the power of the motor duck. It was a challenge to make the box fit behind the block. He had to make a special plate for that, a kind of adapter, so to speak. The photos prove that the result is worth it.

You could actually say when it comes to Citroën goes: Let Albert slide, with a pleasant chat he talks entertainingly and happily about his hobby. In this way, a spontaneous and chance encounter becomes of great value for the true lovers of our driving heritage.
