Nemo Musketeer, Dutch make

After the German occupiers were chased away by the Allies and our entire country was destroyed, reconstruction had to be started. De 'Ollander rolled up his sleeves and went to work. The same applies to Messrs NJKollewijn and ML van Amerongen, who established the Dutch motor vehicle factory for this purpose. The Nemo. Jan Jogerius provided a large hall of one of his factories on the Kanaalweg in Utrecht for this purpose. The Nemo must be seen as an experiment, into which a lot of money for the development was pumped. The initiative eventually ended in a flop, because after 12 to 14 units, fire went out under the croquettes ... The Nemo - which was sold under the Nemo Musketier type designation - was a tricycle equipped with Lockheed hydraulic brakes on all wheels, had a load capacity of 800 kilograms and was powered by a water-cooled two-cylinder engine with a capacity of 750 cm3, which was described as very economical with a fuel consumption of 1 on 12. All this coupled to a three-speed gearbox. Available - in four 'standard' colors (black, red, gray or blue) - as a closed order, but also as a chassis / cabin so that a loading container could be built on it - or by third parties. The prices of the Nemo Musketeer varied between NLG 3.100 and NLG 4.400 and that was - for then - an expensive piece of 'toy'. A dealer network was of course provided for. Among others De Sutter's Automobielbedrijf NV in Rotterdam and Garage Rompelman in Almelo. The latter probably saw the loot hanging already, because he advertised with it and immediately announced a discount of no less than NLG 500 ...
