NOREV 1:43 models for a low price. Nice, for Father's Day

This coming Sunday is Father's Day, which means that somehow something fun is always thought of to surprise someone. There will be car-loving fathers who would love to receive a package containing 'something with four wheels'. And unwrap the gift and secretly feel like a child again.

The nice thing about gifts for Father's Day is that they often come with a small price tag. In that context, NOREV now has a nice collection of affordable scale models in-house. Of course, French brands are often central within this spectrum, but within the 1:43 scale, for example, you often see models from other manufacturers. As usual, you always see a scale model of Ford, but Volkswagen and Porsche also always do well in the budget corner of NOREV, and certainly within the scale mentioned. For an amount between ten and fifteen euros, you can get nice, slightly less well-detailed, but still sufficiently true-to-life models.

We will not describe all the models that the miniature manufacturer has in its range, but we do like to take you along in this piece. For example, the Con-Ferr Dune Buggy, which became big in the film The Thomas Crown Affair, is nice. Remarkable about this version (in original size) was that the builder did not place a VW engine in the back, but the power source of a Chevrolet Corvair. Also note the low windshield and the lack of lighting.

NOREV offers many more fun and affordable 1:43 models. The Typ2 T2 camper from VW is such a vehicle, which is depicted quite truthfully and is equipped with a few surfboards, for the right atmosphere. Of course: for the price level you should not expect Schuco or the old Minichamp level. But as an addition to the display case, a nice scale model comes in for around ten to fifteen euros.

This also applies to various Ford Mustang editions, which are available in multiple colours and trims. In this context, the Mustang with Airstream caravan is also a nice, and of course somewhat more expensive combination. The Ford Gran Torino is recommended, which looks excellent and quite well maintained. A long-term seller is the series of 2CV6 copies, which are also available in a wonderfully simple way but with the original Citroën-factory colours are available. This also applies to most models from other manufacturers. Some are also available as a gift set (three copies, for example with the 205 GTI, the Clio Williams and the 5 GT Turbo). Even then, you often do not exceed the amount of €35,–. Do not expect meticulous detailing in this context either. But again: for the amount mentioned, the cars are quite representative.

We will just mention a few examples. Not to describe them in detail, but to give you an idea. Or to surprise yourself. Because in every car-loving father, the child is always still enclosed. And who does not honor the little one... you know.
