Objection generator Stichting Autobelangen available for everyone

The Car Interests Foundation has spent a lot of time in recent weeks developing and testing the objections generator. In the meantime, hundreds of donors of the trial have already used this tool. Today, the Car Interests Foundation has definitively opened the objections generator to everyone.

Custom Made
With the objection generator it is easy to draw up a notice of objection tailored to each individual situation. The owner of a former MRB-exempt vehicle - who does not agree with the fact that MRB is due again - has to leave a few details. It is important that the registration number of the taxed vehicle is entered. Based on a link with the RDW, the correct data for the customized notice of objection will become available. This is then generated and ends up in the applicant's mailbox. After printing, the objectioner must put a signature and send the document to the tax authorities. As previously reported via these columns, it has opened a special mailbox for the objections.

Terms & conditions
Car interests reported it earlier, but there are some conditions attached to the use of the objection generator. Objectors can use the generator if:

• The vehicle comes from year of construction 1974 up to and including 1987.
• The vehicle runs on diesel or LPG (vehicles with gasoline cannot yet object because they have not yet received an invoice, these invoices will be sent at the end of March 14, according to the tax authorities).
• The vehicle owner has received and paid the motor vehicle tax bill (MRB).

Petrol vehicle owners will receive a bill at the end of March
In addition, it is important to know that only the owners of a diesel or LPG motor vehicle that falls under the new MRB rules for old-timers can currently object. This is due to the fact that owners of the petrol-driven vehicles category are not yet able to object because the Tax Authorities only send the bills for this at the end of March.

Use is also possible with direct debit
It is also possible to use this objection generator if the MRB bill has been paid by means of a direct debit. Once the MRB account has been paid - the money has actually been debited from the account - then there are exactly six weeks left to object to this account.

Suspended vehicles
The Autobelangen Foundation receives a multitude of questions every day from people who have their vehicle suspended. Wouter van Embden indicates once again that it is still not possible to object when the vehicle is suspended. “In that case the owner will not receive an invoice. If the owner of the suspended vehicle nevertheless chooses to object, the vehicle must be completely released from the suspension, ”said Wouter van Embden of Stichting Autobelangen, who further indicates that the interests of the owner of a suspended vehicle certainly be included in the lawsuit.
