Opel and handling

There are many among our readers who grew up with the assignment "You should never buy an Opel, they have extremely poor handling". Regarding Opel and handling, that was true. Especially the models from the mid-fifties to about mid-sixties. Partly due to the eerily narrow diagonal bands that were used at the time. Probably the lady on the attached photo also got that text imprinted, but it turned out she was a bit stubborn? Because after she and her husband, fiancé? Whether a friend has driven through the mountains in an Opel, a halt has to be stopped at a Christ statue under a roof and a bunch of flowers is delivered. Maybe also a prayer? Thankfully they survived the descent. Such images of course did not contribute to Opel's image and handling….
