Opel Kadett A.
ER Classics Desktop 2022

This Opel Kadett A is from 1965 and its new destination is a small-scale museum in the northern region. In the 60s, Opel was really able to compete with the successful VW Beetle, because the Opel Kadett A became a sales hit due to its lower price and larger and attractive design.

The four-cylinder engine had a capacity of 993 cc and delivered 40 hp. On the birth data of this 65 there is a weight of 669 kg and a top of 125 km per hour. It was a resounding success because different models were offered. Not only the well-known sedan, but also a coupé (which is now much sought after) and a caravan. The initiators of the small museum aim to revive the period of the 60 / 70s. The Opel Kadett A belongs and then completely with: Kurz tagged: Opel Kadett is OK.

  1. They have probably looked wrong, according to the RDW this Kadett also has an empty weight of 669 kilograms, so ready to drive 769. Which museum is this car in?
As a type reference I am always interested.

  2. Small mistake, I have here the registration certificate of the 18-71-AX in front of me and it really says 769 kg as curb weight.
960 Kg is really 200 kg too much.
