Purchasing classics there

The organization of the Bremen Classic Motor Show recently announced the main themes for the 17e edition. Those responsible for the opening of the German classic season have presented a number of new topics for the event, which will be held in the German Hanseatic city from 1 to 3 February.

Earlier it became clear that the main themes are colored by classic station wagons and some 20 American-style engines. For the upcoming edition, the organization has also made room for the 40th anniversary for the third generation of the Volkswagen Transporter, the last model series with the engine and powertrain at the rear. In addition, following the motorcycles from the United States, a number of V8 models from the land of unlimited possibilities are also being produced. These are historical Americans, who played a role on the silver screen.

40 year VW T3

Volkswagen presented the third Transporter generation in 1979. It marked a transition in several respects. Initially the T3 with air-cooled engines came on the market, but later diesel versions and WBX (water-cooled boxer engines) were added. As with the predecessors, the T3 was also available in numerous body styles, and they were used both privately and commercially. The T3 was also a rewarding basis for the conversion to motorhomes. In Bremen, six special copies will be offered in Hall 5 of the exhibition center. Whoever is in the market for a T3 can listen to Dirk Klöß, one of Germany's best-known T3 restorers. He will demonstrate the points of attention in four sessions daily using a Volkswagen T3 Joker.

V8 movie stars

Also for the American V8 car movie stars the organization has something special in store. The presentation is completed by six replicas of famous eight cylinder models. In Hall 6 are among other things Christine (a Plymouth Fury from 1958) from John Carpenter's eponymous horror film, the Dodge Monaco from 1974 from "Blues Brothers" and the Ford Falcon XB Coupé from Mad Max in the spotlight.

Traditionally diverse

Furthermore - and we mentioned this at an earlier stage - the Jungen Klassiker Trade Forum, the commercial offer from private individuals and reputable traders, the clubs, the countless parts, new and second-hand miniatures, and other classic-related items are again part of the even more comprehensive program in Bremen.

Advice: parking at the airport

In connection with building measures, the organization advises visitors traveling by car to use the option to park at Bremen Airport. Visitors to the fair will find a place on the Park & Ride site in parking lot 1. The address is “Fitzmauricestraße, 28199 Bremen”. The costs per vehicle are 7 euros per day. The 18-minute tram ride to Messe Bremen is included.
