Purchasing classics there

Usually you fall for cars from the period in which you grew up. That is why we always look for today's classics with a keen eye in our wanderings. One of those 'voitures unique au monde' is the Panhard 17 BT.

By: Dirk de Jong

We found this Panhard in Heerde at Classics Cars. You can immediately see that he has had a long and dry life. Today we call the dull lacquer a natural weathering of the metal. Such a weathered patina skin is becoming increasingly attractive.

grand car

The list that was in the car stated that it was a very solid original car from Clearmont in France. The technology is completely in order and that it drives well thanks to its Tigre engine. The Panhard has a glorious tradition. And according to the sales-promoting brochure, it is a car for people who want to feel young and happy.

Masterpiece

A masterpiece of technical design and robust execution. It always turns out that there is still a lot of beauty in the Dutch garages. We try to capture the enthusiasm of ownership in words. The owners are not limited in their enthusiasm by dissenting opinions of others. The classic hobby is an enrichment for many. This 55-year-old Panhard 17 BT has now been in the Netherlands for 6 years and will undoubtedly stand out among modern traffic. In any case, the new owner will receive an exceptional classic that will give him driving pleasure.

  1. Oh yes, the place Claermont does not exist in France to my knowledge. Do you think you mean Clermont-Ferrand (Code 63000) the site of the unfortunately disused circuit and where the great Michelin factory and their museum is located?

    Kind regards, Ed

  2. Hi Dirk,

After reading this piece, I noticed a few things that show that you are not a real car connoisseur and take over a lot of information indiscriminately.
Have you mentioned a Renault 4 with a chassis before? I think it is a Renault R4 with a self-supporting body!
Also, to my knowledge, the Panhard 17 BT never existed. The 17PL L1 for the Berline version, L2 for the convertible and then as L4, L5, L6 and shortly afterwards just as "17"
And if you do try to do it internationally, please use the correct spelling! It should have been voitures uniques with an s behind it.

    Kind regards, Ed
