American Le Mans Series (ALMS) race series initiator, race owner, entrepreneur and at least multi, multi-millionaire Don Panoz, has announced after a first introduction that the dramatic-looking Panoz Abruzzi Spirit of Le Mans is going in - limited - production: 81 items will be there to be built.
The Abruzzi has a front mid-engined General Motors engine, a supercharged V8 producing over 600 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. The buyer, who must count on a bill of 4 tonnes excluding all taxes, will receive his new toys at the Circuit de la Sarthe, where a driver training will immediately follow.
