By now it is not unfamiliar to you. Every now and then we describe a scale model. Recently we saw a beautiful 1:18 model of NOREV during an event. That really caught the eye. The French manufacturer regularly produces beautiful and excellently detailed miniatures of a car from the country of the vertical tricolour. And we were surprised when we saw the eighteen times smaller Peugeot 104 GR.
NOREV does it more often. They model a car and release it in series. This is also the case with the extremely sympathetic (you know the weakness of the undersigned for this model) Peugeot 104. The completely correct mold was also used for the described car. The 1:18 scale model is based on the 104 GR from 1981, and is completely correct.
The Peugeot 104 GR by NOREV has been perfectly reproduced down to the last detail. The exterior specifications show subtle features. The front - with the wide headlight units - is correct. The proportions of the model have been taken over almost exactly from the original. And when you look at the back of this NOREV creation, you can see that the correct name and type plates have been used. The large rear window (including rear window heating) is correct, and that we are dealing with a GR is not only visible from the aforementioned type plates, but also from the missing trim in the rear window rubber. And the rear light units also correspond to the Peugeot 104 from this model year.
Furthermore, the wheel holes are correct, and the doors of the car are also very well reproduced. The distance between the two windscreen wipers is correct, and we could go on like this for a while. A look at the interior reveals the further desire to get very close to the original of the Peugeot 104 GR. The instrumentation and the steering wheel match the model from the early eighties. The color of the furniture fits perfectly with the Beige Metallic on the outside. And speaking of the latter: NOREV also succeeded in making this color correspond well with the Beige Metallic that Peugeot applied to newly built Peugeot 104 models in the factory. One point of criticism: the light sections in the front bumper are generous. But that is actually the only thing that can be criticized. Because on the whole we think this is a very nice scale model, and we are sure that this Peugeot will make the hearts of the fans beat faster.
NOREV has released several versions of the five-door 104. For example, they also have the 104 S on the menu, and the entry-level version from 1981 - the GL - also exists in an eighteen times smaller version. But whichever model you choose: for the enthusiast, the Peugeot 104 in 1:18 is an absolute must to have in the house. NOREV has linked a recommended retail price of €64,95 to the scale model. At the specialist shop and at the online trading houses you will probably find a slightly higher price. But that will not stop the fan of this model from getting this particularly successful creation in the house. Chapeau, NOREV.
